Mirrodin is the newest upcoming expert-level expansion for Magic: The Gathering. It is the first set in the Mirrodin Block, which also includes the upcoming sets Darksteel and Fifth Dawn.

Prerelease Date: September 20-21, 2003.
Details will be posted later on this site and on Sideboard.com. Refer to the Sideboard Events Calendar for the dates of all major Magic events.

Release (Sale) Date: Friday, October 2, 2003.

Legal in Constructed Tournaments: Monday, October 20, 2003.
As announced by the DCI in July, this is part of new policy regarding legality date.

Set Size: 306 cards.
Randy Buehler explained this change in set size in an article here.

Border Color: Black.
Mirrodin will be the first black-bordered set to feature the new card face that debuted in Eighth Edition. The premium cards will also be black bordered.

Expansion Symbol: A stylized sword.
The sword itself is an actual card in the set.

Mirrodin: common, uncommon, rare

R&D Code Name: Bacon.
