Zoltan Boros & Gabor Szikszai

The high-school friendship born from the fact that both of them lived far from home, in the residence halls of Budapest Secondary School of Fine Arts, blossomed into their first common project right in the very first year, when they created illustrations for Galaktika, one of Hungary's most popular science and science fiction magazines. Both were influenced by the other's talent, style and visions. They accepted each other's critical remarks and observations, and tried to make use of each other's strengths and advantages. As time went by, co-illustrating matured into a steady work affiliation. Their works are based on analogue freehand drawings, though they try to use technological possibilities to their best advantage. They had several exhibitions throughout Hungary, have made more than six hundred book cover since the middle of the 80's and therefore they are recognized as the 'founder of contemporary scifi and fantasy art in Hungary'.
Their work is the synthesis of two individual visions.

Terese Nielsen

Terese Nielsen has become one of the most recognized names in fantasy art. Her work has captured the imaginations and hearts of many as they are continuallly enchanted by powerful, inspiring images on everything from superhero trading cards to collectible card games, video game packaging, book covers and more. She has received many honors and awards, and juggles several invitations a year to travel both nationally and internationally to be present for signings.
Born in Nebraska, Terese finished highschool and went directly to the small but reputable art program at Rick’s College in Idaho in 1984. Her relentless efforts to excel prepared her for scholarships and great success at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. She graduated with "Great Distinction" in 1991 and continues to be in high demand as she pursues the ever broadening horizons of her freelance career.
Some of her most popular work has been done for Magic the Gathering, which has a huge international following. She has created the look for over 100 cards and has been in almost every card set since 1996. One of the art directors for Wizards of the Coast commented, "You're one of the few artists I don't pigeon-hole. You do everything well."
Other companies included in Terese’s client list are: Marvel, DC, Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, Topps, Darkhorse, Random House, Tor, Harper Collins, Alderac Entertainment Group, Lucasfilm, Mythic Entertainment, White Wolf, Sierra On Line, Wiz Kids and TSR. She is increasingly engaged in personal commissions and in developing her own well-received body of work.
Terese currently resides in Temple City, California with her partner and their four children. Steeped in motherhood, it is not uncommon for Terese to spend hours bringing to life some visionary masterpiece of her hopelessly creative thirteen-year-old son. More often than not, she can be found quietly listening to the ramblings of three girls who share their lives with her as she paints. With much accomplished and far more to come from the studio of Terese Nielsen, her greatest achievements are undoubtedly mirrored in the eyes of her loved ones.

Martina Pilcerova

Martina Pilcerova finished the Master Degree at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, Slovak Republic. She has won various awards including the "Jack Gaughan Award" for the Best Emerging Artist in 2003 (Boston, USA). Her paintings were published on more than 70 covers of books, magazines and games and on many collectible cards all around the world, including publishers like: Paper Tiger, Berkley Books, FoxAcre Press, Prime Books, BeWrite Books (UK), Argument Verlag (Germany), magazines: SF Chronicle, Talebones, Asimov's, games: Magic the Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, A Game of Thrones, Tales of Gaea. Ben Thompson

Ben Thompson, a graduate of the Laguna College of Art and Design, first began working for Wizards of the Coast while still a senior in college. He has illustrated many cards for Magic: The Gathering beginning with the Mercadian Masques expansion. Following graduation, Ben was a professor at both California State University Long Beach and Mt. San Antonio Community College in the Illustration Departments.
In the summer of 2004, Ben left both schools after being invited to join the staff of Sigil Games Online to work on the upcoming PC Game “Vanguard: Saga of Heroes”. His work there entails as much Concept art as one can shake a stick at, and the all consuming job of Assistant Art Director.
While a complete list of artistic influences would require more space than can be found here, some of the most important include Norman Rockwell, John Jude Palencar, N.C. Wyeth, Brom, J.C. Leyendecker, Jim Dietz. Other art credits include the Harry Potter Trading Card Game, Numerous interiors for the Dungeons & Dragons. And Forgotten Realms role-playing games, and cover art for both Dungeons & Dragons, and Legend of the Five Rings.
Ben currently lives and works in Laguna Niguel California, where he finds any spare moment for a good book, rather large cup of coffee, and a warm pipe.
