    The Magic: The Gathering Pro Tour returns to paradise as Pro Tour–Honolulu continues the 2009 season! Truly the crown in the Magic tournament circuit, the Pro Tour offers something for everyone whether you’re new to the game or a seasoned World Champion.

    There will be a whole lot more than a $230,000 tournament taking place! Magic fans of all ages and experience levels will find something waiting for them at Pro Tour–Honolulu. Try Public Events, tournaments open to all and running throughout the weekend with fantastic prizes to boot. Face off against Magic celebrities in the Champions Challenge, or mingle with some of the game’s most talented artists as they sign cards for fans all weekend long. Get a glimpse into the pro lifestyle while seeing some of the game’s best in action live and up close. Whether you come for one day or the entire weekend, Pro Tour–Honolulu offers you the opportunity to have an absolute blast!

    Pro Tour–Honolulu is a Block Constructed/Booster Draft format event with a Booster Draft Top 8 that runs June 5-7, 2009. The Last-Chance Qualifier will be held Thursday, June 4 at the Ala Moana Hotel, approximately a quarter-mile from the Hawaii Convention Center. The format for the LCQ is Standard, with the top four finishers earning a spot in the main event. For more information, visit the complete Public Events schedule.

    Registration and Player Party

    Join your fellow players for the Pro Tour–Honolulu Luau! Come enjoy the great Hawaiian food and Magic drafting!

    The Pro Tour–Honolulu Player Party and Registration will occur at:

    Time: 6 p.m. - 10 p.m., Thursday, June 4 (Registration ends at 9 p.m.)

    Players must have a signed waiver and consent form to compete at Pro Tour–Honolulu. Forms can be downloaded at and will be available onsite.

    Minors must have a parent or guardian’s signature on these forms. Minors will not be able to register or play unless we receive a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. No exceptions!

    Bring these forms with you to registration. We will make forms available for competitors at registration, if necessary.

    To register, all participants must present one of the following forms of identification:

    • a driver’s license, or
    • a passport, or
    • a copy of a birth certificate and photo IDs (school IDs are acceptable).

    We encourage players to attend mandatory registration on Thursday. However we understand that delays might cause players to miss this and we have a registration on Friday morning between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Players at late registration do not always receive the same gifts as those at mandatory registration.

    Players not registered by 8:30AM on June 5 may be denied entry to the Pro Tour.

    Site Attractions

    Come one, come all to participate in four days of events open to the public. Starting Thursday with the Last-Chance Qualifier, there are tournaments, drafts, and open dueling all weekend. Pro Tour–Honolulu will also play host to a few extra-special events, such as the $3,000 Draft Challenge, Super Friday Night Magic, and the Magic Online Live Series Championship. Prizes include invitations and airfare to Pro Tour–Austin, iPods, dgital cameras, Kindle 2.0 wireless reading devices, an Xbox 360 Elite Game System, foil sets of Mirrodin block and Champions of Kamigawa block, and much more!

    Test your Magic skills against the guys who make the game. Wizards R&D members in attendance include Magic Pro Tour Hall of Famer Mike Turian, Mark Globus, and Kenneth Nagle. Win and you can walk away with cool Magic prizes!

    Top Magic artists Dave Kendall and Christopher Moeller will be at Pro Tour–Honolulu. The artists booth will be open Friday-Sunday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

    All of Sunday's Top 8 action can be viewed on screens in the hall. Sunday's action begins at 10:45 a.m. local time, which is 4:45 p.m. ET, and is available as a webcast from the comfort of your own home.
