Grasp of the Emerald Claw is the third adventure for Eberron. Grasp begins in Sharn with a plea for help from the player characters. What happens afterward is a journey that takes the PCs through an area of Eberron the characters haven't visited before. But that's not the destination, it's just the beginning.
Half the fun is getting there and the PCs are in for a particularly nice treat. This time, transportation is being provided to them in the form of a brand new conveyance, one of only three such vessels in existence and one that the PCs have never encountered before. It will take the PCs from Sharn to Stormreach, the northernmost tip of Xen'drik and site for launching expeditions to the jungle continent.
Stormreach is well known as a trade city and home for pirates, shady merchants, and even the great houses who all have interests on the continent. It's a haven for all types and the PCs will have to navigate it to get the information they need to proceed to their goal in Xen'drik.
Xen'drik, the continent south of Khorvaire, is rife with secrets and ruins. It harbors the kind of dangers that make PCs set up extra watches at night. There the PCs hope to find something that will bring them riches and stabilize a tenuous situation that threatens to become a serious threat to the continent of Khorvaire as a whole -- perhaps even another war. Everybody wins -- if the PCs survive.
On top of all these perils, there is the Emerald Claw. To contend with them, the PCs will have to use their wits and resources while simultaneously defeating all the traps, monsters, and dangers that a vast continent populated by an ancient race of giants has to offer. Adventure awaits!
